Our aim is to set our personal work within new exhibition con/texts every time.
As a result, we seek to open up the boundaries of our personal work within procedures of communication and perhaps ultimately bring it down.
We focus on site-specific projects on which we set selected conditions and elements of the research site to converse with already existing personal projects as well as projects we create in common.
The exhibition “an extremely rare night photograph’” TRISTAR UNDERWORLD Volume1 is the first presentation of the group
internationally.

TRISTAR UNDERWORLD Volume1
By dividing the day into light and darkness, the vertical space into above and below, time into linear and non-causal, TRISTAR
has constructed a WORLD ORDER that privileges the second part of each of the pairs: night, darkness, the lowest level of a
room, the nonlinear time of the unforeseeable coincidence. The TRISTAR UNDERWORLD functions independently
of real conditions (weather conditions, daily schedule, temperature). It belongs to the realm of the immutable:
it begins within a WHITE CUBE.
It is a SPACESHIPMASHINE condemned to observation that produces observation stations - areas of observation.
For this it unabashedly uses a rare document of the past and places it in the public space of the present.
The TRISTAR SPACESHIPMASHINE orbits around a very unusual night photograph
entitled “an extremely rare night photograph”.
All <objects damned to observation> within the TRISTAR SPACESHIPMASHINE make contact to this photograph.
TRISTAR perceives the photo as an event.
Today, this rare night photograph is the event that remains for us:
 An unexpected en-lightening interrupts the darkness in the city:
A shocking aesthetic of destruction: most likely a planned destruction aiming for the eternal damnation of the strange,
the banning of the different:
after a fire the city should change and be designed anew from “a blank page”.
It is this illusion of planning in a forced linear obsessed time of light and urban belief (almost a romantic obsession with the
modern) that TRISTAR wants to lead into a vacuum in its SPACESHIP.
Better said, to lead the light of enlightenment out of focus.
